AUSTIN, Ethel Winifred (1873-1918) CL Incorporated National Lending Library for the Blind, later National Library for the Blind 1906-1918 She built up what was in 1906 a small and un-influential library in London into the NLB, acquiring better premises and, with much CUKT help, better funding. Many smaller libraries for the blind were taken over and a Northern Branch established in Manchester.
